How did you get in to SUP?
When Starboard first came out with their Prototype SUP boards I knew it would be a great sport for cross training and for FUN

What was your biggest accomplishment in 2008?
I raised $1,800 for disadvantaged children of Hawaii doing a 13mile SUP Channel crossing from Maui to Moloka'i with my mom Shawneen and Ellie Cochran of Maui Surfboards. My dad was our safety boat. It felt really great to be able to raise money for the kids with my family and also to get some attention for SUP crossings.

Who impresses you the most?
I love to surf with my friends because they are who push me the most, we are the ones who try new tricks, then teach each other.

Where are you favorite spot for SUP?
Any where on the West Side of Maui. My home break is Launiupoko where you can almost always find a few good friends and good waves.

What has so far been your most exiting moment with SUP?
Dropping in on waves over 15 feet on my 9'0" Starboard SUP at Hookipa and Hole in the Head by Little Makaha!

What do you prefer, surfing solo or in group?
I always like to be out on the water with one or two friends, but really can't stand crowds. With SUP boards you can go just about anywhere.

What other projects are you working on right now?
... I want to write more articles for magazines like the one I just wrote for SUP Journal, and I also want to do a video blog of teens as I travel windsurfing, surfing, SUP, all the fun stuff I do every day with my friends and family.

What are your goals for 2009?
To compete in more SUP contests and events and also of course to do great in the Formula Junior World Championships in Peru this winter!!!
