Saturday the 25th of July, the first SUP flatwater race was held in Brekkesø Norway. Perfect weather, sunny and warm. There were spectators by the 1000's 9 km distance 183 kayakkers competing 8 SUP. The new SUP class had to start all the way in the back, but we still managed to pass some kayakers. The best flat water racers hit the time :41 minutes (olympic class). Our local hero and product manager at Starboards SUP division, got it at 75 minutes. We all salute you Gaute,,,,, !!!!!! Our hero..... The first 5 was all on Starboard SUP. In the beautiful surroundings of the Norwegian riviera, we (SUP) made quite an impact and are now invited to join all the kayak races along the cost. |
